The Coto de Caza community is blessed with horse trails and walking trails. The CZ Master Association maintains the horse trails that traverse from north to south on the outer loop of the main streets of Coto de Caza Drive, South Bend, Vista del Verde, and Tipu Run plus also on the connector streets of Cantamar, San Miquel, and Plano Trabuco.

The outer county trails that surround most of the community can be accessed throughout the community by the many access trails located in various tracts in Coto de Caza. The CZ Master Assocation also maintains many of these access trails. It should be noted that the outer trails offer a scenic look at the native vegetation and terrain of this rural area however also provide access to the natural habitate of many native animals and reptiles such as rattlesnakes, coyotes, boars, and even mountain lions. The CZ Master Association cautions you in using these outer trails alone and suggests traveling with a buddy. Please refer to the trail map.
